It all happened REALLY quickly. He just didn't feel right -- even called his boss yesterday and asked him flat out -- he didn't deny nor confirm. But he had another heart to heart today and officially he found out they have plans on letting him go.... they are going to talk on Wednesday. I'm so scared and sad... It's a true wake up call.
I am so sorry and your post just flooded all the emotions that I had when DH was laid off pretty much the same way (he caught wind before it happened) - but it was 2 days before we left for our HM!!!
It can be done and we are examples of it...I had a decent paying job (and I took on a few more assignments to get some extra cash) but we reevaluated our spending...and with DH's unemployment...we didn't dip into his severance...even with a $2000/month rent...and $500 car payment...

I am so sorry to hear about your DH's job. Hang in there and support each other - unemployment is not easy on either party. I hope that this in the end turns out to be lucky - with a wonderful new job for your DH!

The essentials - mortgage and utilities are covered with my salary. Car, insurance, school loans etc are not. OMG I'm so nauseous. I don't even want anyone to know. I do not want it to be the topic of everyone's conversation!

I am so so sorry to hear this.... This happened to my DH about 1 1/2 ago and it was hard, but we managed! And I promise that you will too -
It's hard to see, but sometimes these things are blessings in disguise...
I know this is a stressful situation... Hugs for your and your DH!!!!
