I was stressing about all the little LIW touches that i HAD to add to my wedding and i just took a step back yesterday and I said 'you know what? It's going to be okay!' It's okay if I don't have a verse on my aisle runner, it's okay if don't have time to make programs and petal cones and an endless amount of very pretty, but time consuming DIYs. What a relief! Who's with me?

Lupita, I am SOOOOO close to being right there with you! The only problem is, I've already started all these time consuming projects and it will bug me to no end unless I finish them!!!! But you're right, all the little touches are very nice, but also not necessary!

this site both helps and hurts you when it comes to the wedding. cause you see alllllll the things ppl are doing and sometimes you wanna do it allllll.
yeah i was okay not DIYing things and doing all the little details as much. just wasn't for me.
trust me--when your big day is over you REALLY don't care about that stuff.

I have that, but not with DIYs - those I'm still working on! BUT w/ all the other numerous stresses that I've encountered, I officially sat back and said 'you know what - it'll all work out and be perfect' And since then, my blood pressure has dropped back to normal i'm sure!

I do agree a couple of weeks before our wedding i was very stressed about all the little stuff there is a time that you will have to step back and finish the little projects you start and stop stressing about the little things that you cannot do!

You're totally right. I feel like at some point, you have to just focus on getting things done. I had a similar moment when I was CRAZY stressing over my processional music. Finally, I just said, that's it! That's how it's going to be, and I haven't stressed over it since. Congrats! It's a breakthrough!!

I'm with you. The closer I get, I'm cutting out the stuff that's just going to make my life difficult. First, I said goodbye to candle votive placecards, then tear packs, and now slipper basket is on the chopping block. It's more than okay, my wedding will be beautiful and 99.9 percent of the people there won't miss these details.

I am with you! The only thing I am doing myself is printing everyone's name on their placecards for the tables on my printer at home. I felt that it was stressful enough to coordinate everything with all of the vendors I hired, make sure everyone RSVPs, plan the honeymoon, and everything else...
However, I do love seeing all of the beautiful DIYs that everyone posts. I admire their creativity from afar.

AMEN! I didn't do a lot of the DIYs that the other LIWers do, but I did do programs, printed my own placecards, decorated bubbles & bells & decorated the baskets... and now, 4 days before the wedding, I have decided I want menus. I have about 5 hours to print & assemble them

I'm with you sister, I felt that way a few weeks ago.
So what if I don't have Menu's So what if I don't have pretty picture table cards, regular #'s aren't so bad

I did make my own wedding wands so cheap and easy.

Hey, I hear ya! I have been stressing myself out over things that I just don't have the time or energy to do. I have finished most of the projects I started, but last night I vowed that I am not starting anything else! (not that I have much time though, since my wedding is 11 days away!!!) It will be beautiful no matter what!

Amen sister friend! LOL honestly, you dont even appreciate it all on the big day. I was stressing out becoming a ottal wakced out bride-to-be with all the wedding stressors and the week before when everything was pretty much finalized I looked around and said, 'You know what? from this point on I am just going to cruise because i have done all that is humanly possible and freaking out will just alienate my fh and friends more and heck, I am TIRED! The day before the wedding everyone around us was freaking out and DH and I were sipping margaritas at Jose Tejas and chilling out.
Sure stuff went wrong but we realy didnt notice it because we were just intent on each other and having a good time. Don't get nuts ladies. No one signed our time conuming DIY guestbook, or took note of our place crads with the little flowers that out invites. Do it ALL for yOU or dont do it at all because people will be oblivious.

I'm totally with you!!! I have a list of DIYs I'd like to do, and have already started a couple but I keep telling myself that I do not NEED all of them. So if I can't finish them, it's no big deal!

I remember the night before my wedding I still hadn't painted my aisle runner! I was at the rehersal dinner telling one of my BM's that I still had to do it and she said 'ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!! YOu are going straight to bed, no one will notice' ANd you know what, it would have beenn nice, but looking refreshed in my pictures was so much more worth it!!!
