I was stressing about all the little LIW touches that i HAD to add to my wedding and i just took a step back yesterday and I said 'you know what? It's going to be okay!' It's okay if I don't have a verse on my aisle runner, it's okay if don't have time to make programs and petal cones and an endless amount of very pretty, but time consuming DIYs. What a relief! Who's with me?

Totally with you-as hard as I try, I am basically artistically challenged, and with my work schedule, I didn't want too much stress...DIY menus and programs for me, and that is it!

this site both helps and hurts you when it comes to the wedding. cause you see alllllll the things ppl are doing and sometimes you wanna do it allllll.

you're a sharp one! we had a newlywed thread a while ago discussing how we ran ourselves ragged for a lot of little details... and on the big day, we barely noticed them, becuase the day flew by....
Definitely don't stress over the small stuff. I think I would have been much more rested if I had your epiphany during my planning phase!

I'm with you all the way!! I had this moment last week myself and decided against doing a whole bunch of DIY projects that I was planning on doing. No one else will notice and I really don't have the time.

I was also trying to do all of these little touches but I drove myself crazy and ended up not doing them, nobody noticed. I had people tell me that it was the best wedding they had ever been to, even the little things that I did do I don't think people cared it is all about you and your honey and that is what people are there to see.

You are so right!
This site is GREAT for ideas, but that doesn't mean I have to do every great idea I come across - i would end up so over-budget and crazy from over-working myself that I'd be in the nut house!
Do what's right for your wedding and enjoy every minute of it!

ME!!! No DIY things for me...I don't have the energy or the desire! I did pay my florist to make petal cones and the hall is making personalized menus for me...does that count?
