I'm sorry to hear this, Liza. I don't have much advice. I don't know why you have to deal with this; it's really unfair. But I do hope that after dealing with these difficulties during your engagement that your reward will be a long, happy, healthy marriage.

he is a project manager for fire sprinkler systems in construction sites - so, he oversees fire sprinkler installation for commercial sites - he doesn't personally know how to do steamfitting... He was a project manager for over 20 years, used to make good money doing it, and now he is having so much trouble...

Well, we are lucky that my dad is paying for the wedding, but that doesnt help with our daily living or rent or kid expenses.... let alone stuff like getting passport, wedding rings, you know - stuff my parents shouldnt have to pay for....

as for money saved, this is the 2nd time this has happened and he took a huge paycut, so it was hard building a nest egg, and we were finally able to get ourselves together, and boom - aint that life though?
