Wow, I want to look into that. I was told that they used to allow name changes, but now you have to get a an entire new passport, fees and everything. Thats what the office told us when I went to get my passport in January. So, somebody is wrong. I'm going to try to find out tomorrow. I'll let you know if I do.

I JUST did my passport.

If you have renewed your passport within the year, you don't have to pay for it. IF you didn't, then you do have to pay for it.

You will need to fill out the forms (you can get them here: Passport Name Change

Then you have to mail your ORIGINAL marriage certificate, old passport and two passport photos.

They say it takes 6 weeks, but mine took 4
