it's official, one of our GM is not showing up

It's one of FH's alcoholic brother's. The wedding is Sunday and he hasn't called to say he's not coming. His family has called FH to let him know they think he may not be making it. He ran up $1000 in cell phone bills that he can't pay so they shut off his phone and now FH can't get in touch with him. His ride (his mom) left NC this morning and he is not in the car with her, now he has no way to get here. So basically one of our GM is a no show FH says he's written him off but I know he's too good natured to actually follow that one through. I just hope someday soon he finds his way to an AA meeting.

I am so sorry you are going through this....I have a similar situation with one of my brothers, I haven't seen him in 5 years, has issues, his invite was returned to us and now I found out he won't be coming to the wedding, with no explenation.

Sorry to hear that. One of our BM didnt show up (we had two thank God) FM me if you need to vent. But trust me have two girls walking with one guy and it will look perfect! Dont let this ruin your day.

im sorry jess, i know its disappointing that he wont be there, and i dont mean this to be mean, but it sounds like you guys might be better off without him there - it sounds like having him there could have caused a little chaos on your wedding day and that is not something you want.....your day will still be special - and i hope for his sake that he makes it to a AA meeting too!

Leave it be, it will be fine. Don't stress. It is not worth it . He obviously has a terrible sickness. Your wedding will be fine as long as you let this go and enjoy it. You have planned long and hard, you deserve to enjoy it. Tell your husband it doesn't matter.

Alcoholism is a disease that hurts the person and those who love them too. I hope he finds help too.

ITA. I'm sorry FH has a brother that's in this situation, and I really hope for his sake and everyone else that he gets himself the help he needs.

I'm so sorry about all of that!! what a sad situation!! I hope he can find the help he needs!! Sorry that you are down a GM... this must be very stressful on both of you!!!
