It's over and done with !...my story..(& reviews!)

I am so glad your date went so well. I am also glad that your reception was nice, especially since Lovin' Ovens is doing my reception next year (Land's End). Lots of luck in your future.
I would like to share my opinions on my vendors incase any of you would like more info. (and these are simply my opinions and we all have our own opinions, so please dont take it the wrong way if you are using the same vendor or if you feel differenly.)
*Photographer - Wedding Group One (718-886-4975). I have not yet seen the proofs so I cant comment much except to say that I have seen their work in their studio and I was VERY impressed. They are very creative and think of new pictures as they observe the surroundings. I will let you know how my proofs come out when I get them. They were very friendly and had no problem if I suggested a pose or a background at the spur of the moment.

Try not to stress yourselves out about this or anything else. Your wedding planning shouldn't be so stressful that it takes the fun out of it. That one day will pass by so fast that this is the time to enjoy too. Regarding Spin Around Sound and Anna's comments: She was relaying that it didn't go perfectly. I appreciate her candor and these are definitely things that any bride will now know to double check on. After that, it's out of your hands. I am also using Spin Around Sound but don't feel stressed at all. Partially because I am understanding that there are a few things that tend to 'go wrong' with a wedding and it makes no sense for me to get uptight. I also appreciate Concetta's experience with them, which sounds wonderful. More importantly, remember that this day is only one day. Not to trivialize anyone's glitches but whether the DJ forgets a song, the photographer forgets a picture, or the champagne is flat for the toast, you will still be married and finding someone we love to share our lives with it worth more than any one day can reflect. Hang in there ladies, it is good that we share stuff here but try not to get all crazed by it. That is not the intention of anyone's post.

Limousine- We used 'Limousine, Please', because they were the house limousine for Sail Harbor. What a mistake. I won't get into the gory details, but I would stay away from them.

Well said Elizabeth!! While doing all of this planning, it is easy to forget the real reason we are doing it--to spend the rest of our lives with someone we love. 'Don't sweat the small stuff.'

Is there any other concerns about Flowerfield? I am getting married there in September 2001 too. What hotel did your guests stay at?

Thank you for bringing all of us back to reality. It is really, really hard not to stress out because we all want it to be perfect, but you know what, it will be.....no matter what...the most important thing is that friends and family from both sides will be there to celebrate two people's love and dedication to each other. I think that is the most important thing of all! (I should take a step back myself once and see the REAL purpose of the day)

We also looked into Spin Around Sound, but decided against them because we didn't think we needed to pay that much money for a dj since we found someone else at a more suitable price, and with the same promises of none of the 'in your face' stuff from other djs. The only difference is we get one man instead of two, however, the dj has been doing it this way for years, and claims he does his best work alone. (Which I can totally understand, since I am the same way).

Who did you use, and how many limo's did you have? So far, everyone we've talked to would only give the complimentary ride after if you rented 2 or more limos, otherwise they charged $50.00.

I am getting married the 2nd labor day weekend.
