It's the sound of her voice, her hiccups, her laugh ...
the way her hand feels wrapped around my finger, the softness of her cheek, the way she curls up on me and falls fast asleep ...
the smell of her hair ...
the way she looks at me with smiles meant only for me ...
the way my heart skips when she leans toward me when she's hungry or needs comfort ...
Its the little things that I never expected that melt me every day & make me so thankful that she's come into our lives!
I just love being her mommy ... thanks for letting me share my mushy thoughts tonight!!

I have a few to add:
The way she looks up at me as I am BFing her
The way her eyes follow me as I walk around the room
When she's with her dad, the way she looks at me when I come near, and then back at her dad. It's like she saying you are my mommy and daddy.

Natasha ... some of my favorite moments are early in the morning when she wakes up hungry, but not crying & watches me so intently while she's nursing!!

This is so beautiful. I miss my Peanut every minute that I'm not with him.
Sooo many of these things are perfectly said!!
I love that he laughs hysterically when his daddy blows on his tummy. (Daddy loves that he says 'Da Da', even though he doesn't know what it means yet. )
I love that he gives me kisses - ok, they're more like licks, but he'll learn to pucker soon enough!
I love that he hears my footsteps in the morning and shrieks with joy.
Oh, I could go on and on...
I love that he's mine.

I have a few to add
When I lay down next to her when we are both going to sleep and she reaches over to make sure I'm there.
The way she runs to me and hugs me when I return from anywhere
How proud she looks after she has done something new
How she says 'Mommmeeeee Hug' and give me the biggest hug I've ever had from such little arms. Then she follows it up with 'Kiss' right on the mouth.
The way she says 'Mommmeeee Are You?' when she doesn't know where I am
This is making me want to go wake her up.

So true! Thanks for sharing that. It goes by so quickly, we can't let ourselves get caught up with how tired we are, or how fussy the baby is. All those little things are so rewarding and all those moments are irreplacable.
