With all this talk of 'who wants to meet who' I have really dropped the ball on this whole GTG thing. I don't give up easy, so here's what we're gonna do. We'll have it in NYC. This way, more people can attend, since I know many of you work in NYC and for those that don't, it may be easier for you to get in.
The date I am proposing is Friday night, October 15th. What do you all think. I'm off all week so I have time to research places. Any suggestions on a place that could hold us would be awesome. Let's try not to pick a place that gets too crowded or noisy. A place with open space or tables is preferable.
Let me know what you think

I know you can never pick one date to please everyone, but we can definitely 'do' the Oct 15th .. and in NYC it makes things a heckuva lot easier for us too

also, if the yanks are in the playoffs, you sure you still want to come?

The 15th is good for us! I appreciate the change from Yom Kippur
ETA: Don't know if I could stomach an evening of the Yanks in the playoffs though!

but what about if that very night, the yankees face elimination if they lose

Ahh... I think I could handle it .. You forget I live with a Mets fan who 'let me have it' when they lost the WS last year. Its wasn't pretty
'IF' their downward spiral were to begin in your presence, I can imagine I would surely be toasted and feeling no pain by the time you could dig in and let me (uh, my team) have it

honestly, i've been so out of baseball and into football, last night was my fantasy football draft and the jet season begins sunday

I didn't read the whole thread.. only the title.. but Oct. 15th.. that's the night before my wedding. I am gonna be on sedatives that nite.
= Getting married = Missing GTG
I do understand about the dates.

Thanks for changing the date! Sorry that OctCroom won't be able to join us. We'll just have to have a toast to wish you the best! I work/live in the city so just let me know where I need to be! I agree, a Happy Hour/after work kind of thing would be best. This way the LIers who work in the city will be able to come!

Don- Please pick a restaraunt that has at least a few veg options. There are some that have none, such as Dos Molinos.
