the amount of sugar that I eat lately. It seems like everything I eat is complex carbohydrates and sugar filled low fat foods, and it all makes me worry. All that sugar is so bad for your body, and it's all I eat! I mean, I am doing WW and it seems so many of their foods, as well as so many of the vegetables and snacks I eat have high sugar amounts. Like, I just posted about the 94% FF popcorn, and now I am realizing, why am I eating that if it's all going to break down into sugar and stick to my arteries? I don't know, I just needed to get that off my chest. Also, is anyone eating a low carb diet that they feel is healthy? I would love to hear about it. Thanks!

See the Low Carb Eating thread ... there's tons of ideas there.
But you are RIGHT all that sugar is BAD for you.

Re: I've been overly concerned with......
I try to eat extemely low sugar foods. I eat low sugar cereal in the morning, or Oat bran with just hot water and a small dash of equal. I eat all natural peanut butter on a rice cake for a snack, no sugar in that, I never eat popcorn and try to never eat white rice. I try to only eat seven grain breads rather than white flour bread products. I don't buy lite yogurt, only Fat-free plain, and add a small dash of equal to it. I rarely eat low fat dressing, olive oil is good for you.
If you stay away from Fat-free foods, you'll do fine. The problem is, I look at weight watcher products and they are loaded with sugar, well,at least the ones my FMIL eats.
Have you ever heard of the glycemic index? It is the rate at which your body produces insulin to break down sugar (or something like that). The higher the glycemic index, the worse the carbohydrate is for you in terms of sugars.
For example, cherries have an extremely low glycemic index, and watermellon has a high Index. In this case I never eat watermellon at a party, only the cherries.
I will find a good index chart and post it. it is a good way to pick foods that are better for loosing weight. This concept is used by those with diabetes.

Here is a site I found with the glycemic index. The more you learn about sugar, the more you can loose weight.
Thank you so much! I really like the concept of WW, but I can still clean up a lot of my eating habits. I think that WW allows too much room for eating bad foods. Thank you again!
