yeah Im not sure if I want the fondant either...I LOVE the way it looks but when we tasted it I wasn't that thrilled...it kinda tastes a little stale and I was sooooo bummed...I don't know I'm so far off from picking a cake its ridiculous...

We get to use Audrey's Bakeshop too but I heard they can get expensive when you start really customizing the cake....

you are not supposed to eat the fondant. they are supposed to take it off the cake before it's served. there should be icing underneath, that's how they get it to stick. fondant is purely for the eyes....which is why the amount of extra money it costs to get a fondant covered cake baffles me

Yeah, fondant looks gorgeous but you realllly have to be a fan of the taste. If it's too thin, the cake is bumpy and ugly, so you have to go thick, and that's when it gets gross.

Let me tell you, Audrey's is awesome. I posted earlier that I'm a pastry chef and we did a wedding last night and the bride brought in an Audrey's cake. It was UNREAL. I can see why they'll get expensive; the cake is THAT GOOD.

Yeah i'm no where near picking a cake either...but I swear I have ADD because I'm randomly bouncing from task to task. LOL

Re: I've decided this is the cake I want...

I love the cake too.

I hate snowflakes when they fall on my car, make me need a shovel, make the roads icy/wet when I need to drive to work or when the city piles them all up on one side of the street.. of course the side my car is on... and I CAN'T GET OUT!
