that's terrible... a day can be more than just ONE thing. i mean, it's also the anniversary of the columbine shooting-- IF you want to be negative about it you could focus on that!!
however if you want to be positive you can say that it's a lot of OTHER people's birthday as well as you and your FH's anniversary, that day could be SO many different things for so many different people besides pot, hitler, and columbine but it just depends on how you see the glass-- half full or half empty...
i mean, what happened in the world has already happened and although some things are tragic and sad you can't give hitler and those two animals from columbine the satisfaction of letting a coincidence ruin YOUR wedding day and anniversary of meeting FH...
some people are just so negative!! don't let it bother you and if she says something else simply ask politely but firmly 'why do you have to be so negative?' 'why do you choose to focus on that part of it rather than the millions of good things that did and will happen on that day?'

my sister is born on the same day we bombed nagasaki with the atomic bomb-- or it might have been hiroshima, one of the two.
my friend's birthday is the anniversary of pearl harbor. my other friend's wedding anniversary was the year before 9/11.

yep hall booked, along with dj, photographer, video, church... So no worries here we are not changing it.

April 20th is my nephew's bday too and I never knew until a couple of years ago that it was also Hitler's bday - from now on April 20th will be known as my nephew's bday and your wedding and that's it!!
