I've had it!

I'm getting married Saturday and my sister, my supposed maid of honor after my original MOH decided she had to have gastric bypass 5 weeks before my wedding, still does not have a dress! She ordered an ugly dress with the original MOH that she has yet to receive. The store that she bought it from in the City closed and originally he told us to go to Long Island to pick it up. Then his taylor was 'sick' so he said the guys could meet her in the city today to do her fitting. Yes, I said fitting flipping 5 days before my wedding! Now, they're telling her she can come on Thurs. to try it on and get fitted! I told her to go to other stores and start looking and she's like, I don't have that kind of money! And I don't know how to look for a dressy dress! And when I asked if she wanted to back out now, she was like no. W T F????

So, I need your help. She's a plus size girl (18/20) which complicates the issue. Where can she go to find something decent? I'm desperate. TIA!

Tell her to get her A S S over to Davids!!!! ASAP! Or Estelle's Dressy Dresses in Farmingdale on 110, they have great dresses in every color and size!

What a nightmare!! I would def. try Davids Bridal..one of my BM's is plus size (size 20)..and when we went to order our dresses at Davids bridal they had a lot of floor models that were plus sizes..

btw, Phyliis from Bridal Elegance will work/alter under any circumtance... she fitted one mf my bm's the day before the wedding. the bm was an out of town Bm. and she only charged $45 for he alterations.

I'll put the price out there... I paid $136. that's with taxes. but I'll go below that.

Davids or Estelles Dressy Dresses??? You can also always try a dept store like Nordstom, Macys, Bloomingdales...Good luck hun!! I'm sorry you have to stress like this right before the weddign!!
