but what about the color????? Because I just found out last night that my SISTER (MOH) is mad at me because I just told them what color they were going to wear..........and that I didn't let them have a say in the color.........hmmmm when she got married I didn't ask to wear eggplant

So after yesterday's drama, this is now the newest drama I have to deal with.

No girls, she's known the color since the day I got engaged. She's just bringing this up now.....with 15 days to go.

And I let them all decide on a dress. I had my two sisters and FSIL try on dresses and narrow it down to two. Then I had all of the girls vote on the two and the one with the most votes is the one they are wearing.

My sister is mad at the world right now and these are the things she finds to complain about. It's just so effing ridiculous.

i love that. is she a little sister or big sister? my little sister AND FSIL (who is also younger) are always mad at the world and they find the best people/best ways to take it out on. I did something similar - I narrowed it down tot wo colors and then had my BMs vote which color they liked best and all but one said navy so tough to that one they are wearing navy. People are just difficult for no reason sometimes! I'm sorry she's being like that, sisters are the best and the worst sometimes!

Many years ago, In my cousin's wedding, there were 4 of us in the wedding party. She brought us to David's bridal and told us to find a dress and color we could all agree on. Wrong thing to do! One girl was super skinny and wanted these slinky, silky tight 'shows every bump you're trying to hide' kind of dresses. Me and her SIL were 'busty' and looked like hookers. SO the girl was upset she couldn't get those dresses. The SIL wanted these big heavy poofy dresses with 3/4 sleeves for an august wedding! Just so she didn't have to show her arms. No, sorry, that's when I was annoyed cause I wasn't going to sweat to death all day just cause this girl didn't want to show her arms. After 3 hours, we agreed upon a dress. Turns out, noone even wanted it, we all just gave up. And my cousin, the bride hated them! But everyone was so done with shopping no one wanted to open their mouths. And we ended up getting it in this weird peach color, no one knows why.

So the moral of the story is: a little freedom is ok, but there needs to be guidelines. There is absolutely nothing wrong with with telling the girls they have to wear this color dress in this material. I think some people will look for any reason to complain about something.

That has always been the case when I was in a wedding, bride picks the color! Your color most times is a main part of your wedding so why would you have someone else pick it? I definitely picked my girls colors!

wow really??? And she tells you this NOW!!! a few weeks before and after you just had drama.

I let my sister pick the dress. I gave her options and she tried them all on and picked the one she liked best. The color was up to me. I asked for some input because I'm, bad at decisions, but the bride has the final say. It's your day.

yeah, the color is sort of centralized around your theme.

its not their wedding.

picking the dress color is a huge thing that WE get to pick. it decides the whole look.

your sister is wrong.

I let them choose the style, I chose the color. It's my wedding and no one chooses the colors other than the bride and groom.

I have NEVER been able to pick the color for a wedding i was in...and dont think any BM or MOH should expect to be able to. Considering the dresses coordinate with your whole color scheme...how can anyone expect to have a say in that!!!
