Ivory or White Wedding Gown

My dress is ivory, so my FG's dress will definatley have to be ivory too... it would look too different white and ivory next to each other. And FH and groomsmens shirts under tuxes must be ivory too!

I'm really big on the whole matching white colors thing, call me crazy but I've seen my white dog out in the snow and he does not look white then... it's too much of a difference.

Ivory does not look like a bridal dress? there are MANY of us who have ivory...if the white didnt wash me out then i wouldve gone for white, also the crystals on my dress look different with ivory and give it a nicer look infact...I think us brides wearing ivory will still look good

I agree completely... white looked horrible with my complection. Ivory looked alot better on me, and us ivory brides will still look fabulous on our wedding day!

Thanks lol...hey i thought i would get white too, but the lady told me uhmmm let me show you what the white looks like before you decide, and when i saw it i said oh ok forget it, she had the white and ivory next to me to see how it looks next to my skintone.

Theres brides now who even do different colored dresses or style period, cant say they wont look like a bride or wont look stunning.

I am wearing Ivory. FMIL will be making my FG's dress. I am giving her a swatch of my dress to find the fabric for the dress.

So the answer is:
me = Ivory
FG = Ivory

Champagne

I want Ivory, i feel it compliments me more, im not having flower girls, so thats not an issue.

I have not had a chance to dry on a dress in diamond white, of all teh dresses i tried on, most if not all were ivory. but they looked white though

FG=ivory

go only by what looks best on you...What goes best with your skin tone and everything...what you might want or like might not be the best option...ask the people at the bridal store what color would compliment you best

I think she was asking what color gown everyone was wearing. I'm wearing spun gold (sort of champagne)

My FG will prob. wear ivory w/ a sash the same color as MOH

Many brides choose Ivory I personally love it. Ivory will definatley look like a wedding dress. I agree with Denise 100%

I think it's called Vintage White... a fancy name for Ivory.


ETA: We're not having a FGs, so I would suggest putting her in whatever you want.

Hmmm I like vintage white, and OMG now that we have white in the name of our dress we can finally look like brides

I think either one is beautiful! You really have to try on the color and see how it looks on your skintone and how it compliments the beading/crystal in the dress as well.

I am going to match the flower girl's dress to whatever color I pick out and have a sash on it that matches my BM's dress which is violet.
