J Crew dresses

I'm having a lot of trouble finding a dress or dresses that I like and even more trouble finding a dress that would look good on the many shapes and sizes of my 8 bridesmaids.

So I was thinking about having them all choose their own J Crew dress from maybe 4 or 5 styles in the same color. I think as long as the espresso color looks a like on all the dresses, that it might make the process a little easier for me. And I love J Crew everything.

I'm going for simple elegance, so I think it could work. Any of you have any experiences good or bad with J Crew bridesmaids dresses?? If so, please post.

I wore a Jcrew espresso brown dress for my friend's wedding. We all got to choose our own style - but we did have guidelines, like we all had to pick a certain fabric (it was silk something, I forget).

For my wedding, my girls all got espresso brown Lyndsey cotton cady (in my album) - AND they even just measured themselves and ordered them on FINAL SALE!!! So it only cost them like 120 bux for their dresses.

My wedding hasn't happened yet, but at my friend's wedding we got SO many compliments about how we had the nicest bridesmaids dresses people had ever seen...because they weren't 'bridesmaidsy' - and I WILL wear mine again. I loved it.
