Is one location better than another? I can do either Stony Brook, Patchogue or Medford.
I found some reviews online but want to see what you ladies have to say......

I can't tell which steakhouse it is and although I don't eat red meat, I'd be more than happy to be at a RD as long as they had a non-meat option on the menu too.

My cousin had it at a steakhouse...it was in a private room and I know we got soup or salad and choice of an entree....obviosuly it was steak, there was a chic (def a breast bc my sister wont eat anything on a bone) and a shrimp choice....and cake/coffee...I thought it was good...maybe a lil tight in the room but it did its job!

are the*** for J*and *R? If so We love the one in calverton, but they are all good. I looked into this as well and it was really inexpensive

We did a steakhouse for our RD. Our bridal party and family loved it. Our RD was the day before our wedding so we wanted something different.

J and R Steakhouse is my favorite restaurant on LI!!!! I don't know if you are aware or where you live, but the Calverton location is the best one, IMO. Their dining room is pretty nice and I feel that the food is always better!!! I think it's a great idea for a RD spot. It all depends on what atmosphere you want. If you want a casual, fun, not too fancy location I think it's perfect!

It's delicious. Medford is tiny!!!!! Haven't been to patchogue. I think stony brook has a smaller room you might be able to takeover. I just went to calverton on saturday and it is beautiful. It looks like a ski lodge. WE went as a party of 14 and they were really accommodating.

that's exactly how we are too!! that's why we go there so much. We make sure to go every time we are out on the island. And they are so inexpensive!! Such great quality for the price.

we've gone to a few, mostly the one closest to Nassau and been happy witt the food/service but because the prices are so good the places can be crazy busy so be sure you can line up a big enough reserved table so they don't tell you a 40 minute wait!
