Okay Im torn right now. Im making up my bridal shower guestlist for my mom and Im debating between it being an all girl thing and a jack and jill type shower.
I love how my cousin had his shower because it was guy/girl and his whole bridal party was there. He opened up the gifts with his wife in their matching shower chairs. It was really cute.
But then with inviting more people I dont want to put the financial strain on my mother although she said she doesnt care.
I got some game ideas for the guy/girl shower like playing a 'newlywed' game with a dating couple, us the engaged couple, and a couple thats been married awhile.
Any ideas/ opinions?

plus i think FH would actually poke his eyeballs out with sharp objects if he had to sit and open up our formal china and have people ooh and aah over it. . . .

I loove the jack and jill showers, so they is what we are going to be doing!! Haven't really thought much past that, all my BM said to stay out of it that they are taking care of it lol

I am having an all girl shower. FH can't wait because him and the guys are going to go to the bar to hangout or hangout at the house and drink and watch sports.

yeah bc see i would say hmmm maybe thats a good idea but knowing that i will have about 75 women there alone is a bit much, and these are mostly all married women or those in relationships so were talking about close to 150 ppl if i did this and just WAY WAY WAY tooo much

I just did a list with family and friends including men and I have 70. I left out alot of people that are invited to the wedding because they live in another states.

Oh! You could do what they did on Bridezillas! You can play 'guess which a s s is FH's' by being blindfolded and grabbing!

I am not doing a Jack and Jill shower....our list is a little over 100 already...adding men would just make it ridiculous! Also, the guys in our families aren't into watching ONE person open presents for hours.....FH wouldn't be able to handle it for that long either. Don't get me wrong, I'd LOVE to have him help and get excited over the gifts with me, but due to the amount of people it just isn't possible. At least I'll have fun that night showing him all of the stuff!!! lol

my mom wont like that. shes already like 'u dont want a shower with nasty stuff do you where theres male parts everywhere'

I also found a lot of things that the boys can do together while the girls play their own girlie games. That way they won't get bored or anything.
I want FH to share in the fun of opening presents with me. He's just as excited to see what he got.

I'm worried that I might actually do that! Seriously... i hate the opening gifts part of a shower... is it mandatory??

I think it is a mandatory shower thing. I'm really not into that either!
