Hi Ladies... I am getting married in 11 days and we are going to Montego Bay, Jamaica for our honeymoon. I was just wondering if anyone has been to Jamaica recently or in the month of October. I know it is hurricane season and we did get the trip insurance just in case. I've looked at the weather reports over the last few weeks and it looks like it rains everyday. I'm getting a little nervous so I thought i'd see if anyone has been there recently and if it really does rain everyday??

It does rain alot in Oct/ Nov months. My family nis from Jamaica. I wouldn't worry though because last year I went in Oct. and the weather was great. I hope you have great weather too. Your wedding is th day before my old wedding date was. I had to change it to next year though to come up with more money. I was cutting it too close to my sister's wedding too.

I think it could rain but my travel agent said Jamaica doesn't get hurricanes. We're going there for our honeymoon next year in August and he said we'll be fine with the weather. I wouldn't worry about it - anywhere you go you could really have the threat of rain. Have a great time!!

That is not true..They do at times. I don't think she has anything to worry about. With everything it's like the lottery....u never know...her HM will be perfect.

Aw...I hope the weather holds out for you. We went in April so I can really vouch for the weather this time of year...but I DO know if a hrricane occurs while your there, you get a free trip next year . And good thing on the insurance. It'll be perfect though...I wouldnt worry too much.

Agreed. Jamaica does get hurricanes, but its rare that they actually hit the island directly. Since it is the rainy season though, there may be rainy days, but with most caribbean islands, the rains don't last long each day and sometimes the rain is still shining while its raining!

Don't worry All the Islands say rain pretty much everyday I went to the Bahamas A few years ago in June ( lol when we booked we did not realize the hurricane season started in JUNe)and it said rain every day it rained once for 2 hours

I went last year around this time and honestly, when it rains there, it is literally a 3 minute drizzle and then sunny skies. It maybe rained 2 days while we were there for a total of 10 minutes.
