Any of you worried about a snow storm?

Has anyone considered wedding insurance? I found a company that offers for under $200 and they cover for bad weather.......

i have not considered wedding insurance. i actually wouldn't mind if it snowed cuz i think it would nice in the pictures. plus my church and rh are not far from my house so it would'nt be a problem traveling. but i would be devasted if we got some insane amount of snow! plus then my guest wouldn't be able to come. are you getting insurance? about how much is it?

www.wedsafe.com offers 3 policies ranging from 185 - 295.

Originally when we booked the hall I was def going to get the insurance, cuz for $200 its worth the peace of mind.

But all of my vendors have been really willing to work with us - Fox Hollow will let us change the date, same with dj, and the florist said they would just charge us for raw materials (at their wholesale cost) which I think is totally reasonable.

So I am now debating about weather or not it is worth it for me. I have to look into what would/would not be covered for my honemoon and the remaining vendors I book with.

You can purchase up to 15 days before your wedding.

No im not., i would be ok with a bit , it'll look good in pics lol...

That was the first question I asked my vendors...and all said they would work with each other to reschedule but that it would be up to me to make that decision if I have to.

Thats the beauty to using house vendors.

well the good thing though is that JT will reschedule your wedding.

When i went there in the winter to make a payment we were commenting on how beautiful it looks for the holidays...Anyways we asked what if it snows what happens, we were worried bc of our e-party and wondered what a catering hall would do.

Well they told us that they just reschedule it and infact they told me a story of this one wedding there was a big blizzard that day so they call up the bride to see what she wants to do and they said hey even we didnt want to come in the blizzard it was bad out...but the bride so NO i want it today i have alot of OOT guests and they had to do it regardless and the wedding went on but they also said she shouldve reschedule it bc ALOT of ppl didn't come

I would love it if it snows...and Long Island snow storms are nothing! I'm from upstate so my family can handle getting here in a blizzard! It would be beautiful. I want snow so bad!

I really don't worry about it at all until someone (usually my sister from Arizona) reminds me that what if there is a blizzard and noone will be able to get to my wedding...then I worry for about it for 1 or 2 days until I calm myself back down again. FH and I have a few brothers and sisters from out of state and they are the only ones I worry about not being there. I didn't know about wedding insurance, maybe I'll check into that...thanks!

I'm not really worried about it. Think about it, if we get a REALLY bad storm, how long is it that we can't travel? A day? So, if it happens in the few days before, no biggie. Plus, OOT's will know its coming and make arrangements.

Also, every vendor has said that they will reschedule for us at no charge to us in case a terrible storm happens the day of.
