(JANUARYBRIDE06 I need your Help!) I called up town hall today and they were NASTY!!

I called the one in Islip, WOW so NASTY!!!!!!!

I called to ask if I could use my Baptismal Cert as one of my forms of ID.
The person that answered was so snotty!!!!!!

Well, she said No!

I'm still awaiting my passport and birth cert. But I wanted to get our marriage license out of the way!!

Sorry Michelle!!!! You should be able to use your baptismal certificate as a form of ID, I'm pretty sure that's listed as acceptable. Go to a different Town Hall, the one in Smithtown was great!!

also on the town hall website it should say all listed forms of accepted ID

Are you SERIOUS??? Every other office on LI has it listed on their website that a baptismal certificate is acceptable as a second form of ID. I'm so sorry that happened to you!

It still be processed. It should be sent to me soon.

The lady just had an attitude. She even told me to purchase another Birth certificate and then asked where I was born?!

DH just used his passport, and I used my drivers license and birth certificate.

Call up the town hall of Babylon, we had no problems there whatsoever.

BTW, I ordered a new birth certificate also, and it took about 2 weeks to come in the mail. Maybe less.

maybe she just got divorced? still no excuse to be mean....from what I've looked at (and as others have posted) your baptismal certificate should be OK...maybe you can try calling again...or go elsewhere.
