JAPANES HAIR STRAIGTNER..ANYONE???

Original post by LatinLady-Bride

Hi Ladies, Has anyone done the Japanes Hair Straightner? If so, what was your experience like? Does your hair tend to fall off? I would like to do this, but am scared because I have thin hair ..Any advice?
Someone was kind enough to recommend a place on 23rd street? Any other good locations in Manhattan?

Thanks!

Hair Village in Woodside is awesome. You may walk in and think, 'No!' but I have done it there along with plenty of my friends and family, multiple times, and it is not expensive and good.

Is your hair damaged from this or does it tend to fall off?

I got it done twice.. Its very expensive!! I liked it cause I literally didnt even have to brush my hair after the shower, but I hated it because my hair was PIN straight and had NO body. I couldnt do anything with it but wear it straight all the time and eventually that bothered me. It also kind of ruined my hair, just have to get lots of haircuts to keep it healthy.. but I guess it all depends on your hair type. My stylist now told me that they have some brazilian treatment that is better because it gives it more body and makes your hair healthier.. .. I dunno I might try it out after the wedding.. we will see.

Anyhow this is the place I went to in NY.. they are VERY good..
