Jars for Dry Cookie Ingerdients- for favors

Anyone know a website where I could find jars to put in the dry ingredients of chocolate chip cookies in? I'm thinking of doing this for shower favors. (for my sister)

Or can I get these at Michaels??

I thought about doing that too. When I did a Google search for 'mason jar' (I think that's the technical name for those glass jars), I got a bunch of results.

They do have glass jars at Michaels. I saw them last week. They had a lot of different sizes.

just got a bunch of really great preserving jars at ac moore (here come the jelly beans!). there are different sizes and they were all reasonably priced.

AC Moore definitely has them, too.

If you go to AC Moore or Michael's, look out for the 25% off your entire purchase coupon in one of the wedding magazines (I think the Martha Stewart Wedding mag has one). Otherwise, you have to use the 40 or 50% off SINGLE item coupons, which means you'll have to go back about 40 times! lol

You can get these jars (mason jars) for real cheap at Walmart or Big lots!

Well I don't REEEEALLY need instructions, but I just wanted to know, how far in advance can you fill the jars and have the ingredients stay fresh? Is it OK to add chocolate chips or M&M's?

I have a couple of jars recipe books and they all say that the shelf life is three months. If you need any recipes for them I have a book with like 20 or so cookie recipes and one with 20 or so bar and brownine recipes and tips and suggestions on filling each one!!! FM me if interested!!!

I made jars like that for hostess gifts last xmas and they cameout great I got the jars at A.C. Moore...but i'm sure Michael's would have them as well

Thanks again Ladies!!!

I was just going to use the recipe off the back of the toll house bag and add in M & Ms! However after much thought.........if I had to make 80 of these,I might kill myself & be hidden in a pile of flour in the end haha. SO we decided to go with cookie from flories finales...the icing will be made into the colors of my sisters wedding (tangerine & honeydew) and they will be in the form of daises! If anyone ever wanted to do cookie Flories Finales is SO GOOD!!! We use them all the time!

I am giving out homemade hot chocolate mix for my wedding favors and did the long, horrible hunt for cheap jars.. your best bet.... THE DOLLAR store. They can usually order in as many as you want and the lady I worked with did not charge me tax so i payed under $200 for 200 jars. Pretty good. These jars have a latch close lid.

Also, if you just want 'Ball' mason jars with the two piece medal lid you can buy them the cheapest from ace hardware. Go to their website and you can order them and have them shipped for free to the nearest store and u just pick them up.
