JAYLIM BRIDES!!!

Please make me feel better....

So, I just found out this weekend a friend of mine used Jay when he was with another company about 2 yrs ago. We realized this when I saw a pic of her in one of his galleries online. The problem: I just saw her proofs and I don't love them :(! They seem so much different from the style I've seen from Jay/fell in love with!!

I'm slightly freaking out. Should I mention that to him when we do our e-session? I don't want to offend him but I also want to make sure the pics are more my style (which is what seems to be like more of his style).

I think you will be fine!! It is when he was with Duet so he was working under someone and probably didnt have freedom of style and also he was transitioning from the company to his own with overlapping! I love his style and have confidence in him but definitely communicate everything you want :)

I agree with this. My friend used him when he first started out on his own and her pics weren't traditonal. I'm sure it will be fine!

this exactly! also remember there are 4 editing styles he offers, so it may be the style she chose you do not love. each bride makes requests and maybe what she was looking for is something you aren't.

I think his style has changed a lot since he was with Duet. My best friend used Duet last year and her pictures came out amazing, but I also saw one brides review on here and her pictures were GORGEOUS. I really don't think you have anything to worry about!

And like the other girls said, it might just be the editing style you don't like. I LOVE our photographer, but I'm really not a fan of some of the filters they use on the pictures when they edit and plan on asking them not to use some of them. I appreciate their talent, but no need to be ridiculously overly artistic sometimes!

Thanks so much ladies, feeling a lot better. I think I just needed to get it all out! I've been holding this is since the weekend and haven't said anything to anyone. I know we'll be able to sit with him and show him what we like...etc.

I read our post quickly at work and didn't have time to respond- this is EXACTLY what I thought immediately! I don't think you have anything to worry about, but it certainly doesn't hurt to mention it. Jay is the best and I'm sure your pictures will be beautiful- he has lots of samples from the Inn at NHP, too!

I wouldn't freak out if I were you..I saw Jaylim's work and its great on print! Remember every bride has a different view on what they look for as far as pictures, but they have different styles once they do the editing and it looked great!!
