Has anyone ordered or tried on BM dresses from J.Crew? They recently launched a 'wedding' collection which I think is reasonably priced and looks nice online. I hate asking my BMs to buy $300 polyester dresses they'll never wear again! I'm trying to go for a classic, fun, garden-party feeling with the dresses. Here are the two I'm considering:
I just heard that JCrew is also doing a line of wedding gowns?! Anyone hear this too?

Yup, they have wedding dresses too. They look great online. They're all very simple with clean lines and not much embellishment. Perfect for a outdoor/day/beach/casual wedding, I think. And from what I can tell, they're all reasonably priced--around $500!

I ordered the first dress in navy blue...for a wedding that we have to go to...I like the look of it, I'm going to dress it up a and wear a brooch on the sash across the middle.

That sounds really pretty--something like a brooch can make such a difference.
But my worry is that it'll look too un-BM like. I want my BMs to feel beautiful and special, so perhaps I shoudl steer towards a more 'wedding-ey' dress?

My girls got dresses from J Crew for my wedding. Mine is very similar to your second one but it is in navy and has a little bow. The girls just love them and they look really good in them. The fabric is really nice as well. I went with J Crew for the same reasons you expressed.

I think that if you want to go for a garden like BM dress then that would mean short or tea length...of course long works as well. Short BM dresses are really popular this year and I love the styles and patterns that they have. I think your girls would look very beautiful and you could always add something like a brooch to dress it up...
I'm wearing this dress for an evening wedding at Russo's...like I said I'll dress it up with accesories...I'll try and post a pic
