Re: Jello shots

Oh yeah!!!!

Ok heres what you do:

Make regular jello, but substitute vodka for some of the water. I used to make rainbow jellow shots, with the different colors being the different strengths. Red was half water half vodka (yeah!) orange was a third vodka, yellow was a fourth vodka, green was just a little vodka, and blue was nothing for the wusses. I bought economy size bags of mini plastic cups and my whole fridge was jello shots.

It works best if you make them a day before and keep them in the fridge overnight

Re: Jello shots

Replace the cold cup of water portion with a cold cup of vodka.
Use a little less hot water for a thicker jello.

You know a good dessert along the lines also is Rum Gummy Bears. I had them at a bachelorette party I went to recently.

Put gummy bears ina bowl and pour Malibu Coconut rum over them (covering bears). Let soak over night on counter. Before serving, pour a little more coconut rum on them and use fork to break apart a little (they get sticky) ... serve in a communal bowl with toothpicks.

THEY ARE SOOO GOOD!!!

Re: Jello shots

Sometimes I use Everclear instead of vodka. They are....um...potent, to say the least.

Re: Jello shots

oooooooooohhhh, I just remembered somethng else:

Get jars of Maraschino cherries and pour out the liquid (but not the cherries) Pour Malibu, or vodka, or whatever, replace the lid and let them soak overnight. The cherries will absorb the alcohol and be soooooooo gooooooood.

Re: Jello shots

In my younger days I used to experiment. I tried to match the booze with the jello flavor.

Lime + tequilla = margarita (kind of)

orange + vodka = screwdriver

also made grape with 151 just for a kicker.

Have fun with them.
