Before I start with a review, I will say its an absolute SMALL WORLD.
When FI and I got there and were sitting at cocktail hour a friend of OURS came over to us. Our friend Kenny knows Jenn's HUSBAND.
Church: Wonderful. The mass went so fast. It was so nice. The readings were pretty, the gospel was short and nice and Monsignore was fantastic. He was funny, sweet and made the ceremony so special for the bride and groom.
There was another wedding right after Jenn's and Shamma kept saying that bride was NOT and LIW bride because the dresses were ugly, the flowers were carnations and it just didnt seem organized. Definatly NOT an LIW girl.
Reception: Coral house. FI missed about 90% cocktail hour because there was a HUGE accident on the belt parkway. But when we did get there everything was delicious. I had the chicken franchese and some pasta and it was very yummy. FI had a whole bunch of stuff. Then Kenny came over and we started talking with Kenny.
Her votive candle placecards were so pretty. She got that idea from SonicStef and it looked very pretty. When you got to your seat there was proscutte (sp) and melon which was good. Then came a salad, penne ala vodka and a little while afterwards your main course. I had the chicken Marsala which was good and FI had the chatu briand. He enjoyed it. He must have because when I looked at him to ask him how it was it was finished.
Jenn also did a dance with her mom and that was so sweet. She danced to a Celine Dion song. Very pretty. I am hoping Shamma got pics of that.
My absolute favorite part: a tray of cookies was brought out to each table AND ICE CREAM!!! I was so full I couldnt even finish my ice cream. I didnt even get to eat the wedding cake because I was so full.
The flowers: beautiful. She used Jack and Rose. I love purple and her flowers were purple and very pretty. Her centerpieces were so pretty.
Our table: THE BEST!! Ok so we didnt dance, but we had a blast. It was Shamma and Roger, Ron and Liz, MichelleW and Steve, Me and my FI. We had so much fun. The night literally flew by. Ron won the centerpiece.
Videographer: Wild Rose. I will have to say Bill got everything. Guys were doing shots and the bar and Bill was right there getting it all. FI told me he was standing behind the guys and they had no idea he was even filming. Jenn was hanging out at our table looking at pics ron took with his digital and Bill was there catching it all. He is AWESOME!! (We too booked Wild Rose but we didnt get to meet Bill so this was the first time we met hm and OMG it felt like we knew him for years. He came over and knew who we were and started talking to us and talking motorcycles with us. It was like we were talking to a best friend) Bill was truely remarkable and catching every moment of her day.
Photographer: She used Steve from Patken and she said he was great.
It was a BEAUTIFUL day and everything was so special.

What if this girl does come to this site, even if only to lurk? I don't know, it's one thing to say to eachother, but to post it on a site where you don't know for sure that the bride doesn't read, I think is horrible. Sorry, I just thought that was a terrible thing to say.

I've seen a lot today that I let go, but this really bothered me. A few friends of mine come to the site and never post, so I know it is something that happens. I can't imagine how hurt I'd be if I read this about my own wedding. I didn't mean to come off as sounding like a witch, and if I did, I'm sorry.

IMO, I think that what Shamma said to Chippa and Jenn was a joke. I think that three friends were just joking around about how girls on here are very close and use each others ideas. IMO, I see nothing wrong with what Chippa wrote and what Shamma said.

I said it before and I will say it again, so all can read it and you do not have to hear it thru anyone else. I think her flowers were ugly and I think the BP dresses were ugly, it had nothing to do with being cocky. It has to do with it being my opinion.
I will not justify it. I think the ladies on here plan nice weddings and use great vendors and it shows in the quality of the products and service that they get. So if I make an observation and anyone wants to take it personal, go ahead and knock yourself out. I could care less.

I don't think I was blowing it out of proportion, I was simply saying that we have no way of knowing who is reading these posts, so joking or not, I thought it was a little harsh. No hard feelings against Chippa, or Shamma, it's just not something that I would say online. But that's just me.

I usually stay out of arguements but I have to agree with this. Although I have used many vendors from this wonderful site I did not pick my flower vendor here---I am on a tight budget and picked someone who does nice work from her home, does that mean my flowers will **** since i'm not spending a lot on them, I hope not and if anyone else thinks so I could friggin care less. We all do what we can afford, it's not about the glitz and glamour but about the person we are marrying.

Thank god for opinions and they are like noses we all have one. No one said anything about cost and the importance of who is marrying who. I stated my opinion and I will not take it back. We all have seen ugly dresses and ugly flowers. So if I choose to point it out. I said it before and I'll say it again. IMO They were ugly end of conversation. I do not need anyone giving me lessons on being nice or how to speak and what to say. I did not say it to the bride, so all those who have taken upon themself to be offended or hurt. Life is too short drop the weight, it will not change how I felt about what I saw or what I said. Have a great evening everyone.

We should all heed that advice. Just because its your opinon doesnt give you the right to down someone elses ideas.
besides...the church was never mentioned in this post...and I doubt that a casual surfer would go find Jenn's profile to see where it was posted...
I really don't think any harm was done...and if so...many people have insulted me on this site (and I'm sure I p*ssed off some people - I actually KNOW that I have - but it wasn't malicious)...that's what its all about...
