Has anyone ever done it? I want to do it for maybe a month or so....Need to loose 15-20 lbs. I know its a little expensive, but eventually you can start reading the labels off of regular food to incorporate the jenny craig food. And instead of having their suggested snacks you can replace it with yogurt or veggies so maybe it won't be soooo bad....

Re: Jenny Craig
I have heard that Jenny Craig food is really tasty. I have personally tried nutrisystem and the food was DISGUSTING!!!! The major thing with these type of diets is portion control. So it can be done on your own, with frozen meals and salads. I don't know if it is worth the cost for the long run, but for 1 month it might be worth it.

I'm currently on it now. I love it. The food is sooo good. It can be pricey. It runs me about 100 a week. But keep in mind that I buy food for myself. I dont food shop for a family to for me its worth it. Its about 16 a day. I would spend 12 on lunch alone at work. They have a program for 20lbs for $20. Its 20lbs or 10 weeks which ever one comes up first. It def worth it. I love it

I'm on it and LOVE it. I've tried every diet under the sun and this is the only one that has worked for me. I've lost 30 lbs and I have to say it took very little effort. The food is really good. I actually look forward to it when I go off plan when I'm travelling etc. If you want any more info feel free to FM me.

Well I have this coupon though my life insurance from my job that the first 20 for 20 if free so I'll save a little bit on that :) How long have you been on it? Have you lost a lot of weight? I don't have a family to food shop for and FH works nights, so I eat dinner alone. I just hate having to come home from the gym at almost 7pm and having to cook dinner for myself....I'd rather microwave with my busy schedule lately LOL. The IRS was good to me this year, so I figured since most of tax money is going to our wedding, that I would take a little bit for Jenny Craig LOL

Re: Jenny Craig
I've done it...It was VERY expensive and not realistic to me when transitioning to regular food IMO. totally recommend WW over JC.

Re: Jenny Craig
Yes, I am currently doing it, and Ive lost 25 pounds, and 19 inches. Yes, it is a little pricey, but for the amount you spend on groceries, its pretty much the same, and you do get all your meals and desserts and snacks. The food is tasty as well, I love it, and it really works! FM if you have any questions...
'CBS MoneyWatch analyzed eight weight-loss plans in an article called 'Diet plan review: Best ways to lose 20 pounds,' considering factors like price, nutrition, results and clinical studies'
They figured Weight Watchers costs $6 to $10 per pound lost. South Beach is about $3.25. Jenny Craig clocks in at $54 to $106. Somethin' to consider.
(Zone is $224 per pound lost. Crazy.)

Re: Jenny Craig
i did jenny craig on & off for 2years. lost 50 but couldnt shake the last 40
It's only good for people who need to lose max 30 pounds, the food is tasty compared to nutrisystem but there aren't that many choices. i went thru phases eating turkey & gravy or mac in cheese nnight after night.
cons- weight comes backkk fast - doesn't truly teach you the concept of how to eat for life. -limited menu - frozen dinners laced with saltss
pros- good for one's on the go -good for individuals with short term weightloss goals - dummy proof meal plans
i went to a diet doctor who customized my meal plan . i swear by this guy !!!

Re: Jenny Craig
I was on Jenny a few years ago and lost a few pounds (not much, it took at least 4 weeks to shed about 5 lbs!). It definitely is expensive - food cost me an average of $100-150 per month, plus the registration fees. I ended up quitting about 3 month into it because the food was making me sick (I kept getting dizzy spells). I used to go to the one on Franklin Avenue in Garden City since my old law firm was right next door. It was very convenient but on days that I didn't go to work - boy getting to a Jenny Craig Center was a REAL PAIN IN THE #$%$.
I now am on WW (Weight Watchers) and find it to be much better program than Jenny. WW is def cheaper and the food options are much more diverse (w/ Jenny I was constantly measuring things and walking around with those stupid salad dressing packets). I think WW is also a lot more flexible and easier to stick to - esp on vacations and trips away from home. JMO.
