Hey Jenny, I already tasted the food. It was good.

Just a little annoyed, I hate when they say whatever you want and then they say no to everything.

You cant do a signature drink, Ill deal with that
I had to argue with them to add the fresh flowers during the cocktail hr, because now they do fake ones, I hate fake flowers. But they said ok on that.

Also I thought they had a candelabra with flowers by the card table, now they say they dont. So I have to contct the florist.

Other than that everything was ok. I upgraded the menu a bit and they also seemed annoyed that I ordered the dessert directly from the bakery, dont think they liked that. But it worked in my favor

OH I asked about candled around the bar and the answer is no.

So my advice make a list of what you want and make sure to ask.

Other than that it went well.

'The table card they just wont use their candelabra on the table. Which if they have I dont understand.

But the lights outide are pretty. They were getting ready to plant the summer flowers and the little white lights were lit up all over and it looked pretty

Jus those couple of things annoyed me. Im going to call them again and see if my florist will make up to addtl centerpieces can they place them in their candelabra?

I hope they dont give me a hard time.
Dont be upset, they always yes you and then when they get your $$$$$$$ its oh no, sorry I never said that. Well write everything down with the date oif when and who you spoke with. this way you have backup and proof.

I'd take it a step further - fax a copy of the conversation and have them sign it. We had a lot of the same problems with SMCC - yes yes yes until it came don to the wire and then no no no.

They make a great party and I am sure this happens with other places - but for peace of mind, get things in writing as you go long.

Im using the bridal suite, they seemed to have made some changes to it.'

'Hmm the menu, we did the
melon app
house salad
prime rib
file sole oreganata
'and the chicken

we upgraded the cocktail hr to have fresh seafood display

we picked the ham for the carving dish
Oh I cant rememebr the rest.

But all in all I thought they were very nice, also dont be afraid to haggle with them on any upgrades we haggled the valet and seafood.

My main problem was that the catering manager changed 4 times during our engagement so we had zero continuity during all our planning discussions. Plus, it was a live and learn situation where if someone says you can easily have something, make them put it in writing. We didn't have any real problems that weren't worked out the way we wanted.

I honesly have no bad feelings towards SMCC at all!! It's a beautiful place that knows how to throw a terrific party!!!

From what I remember they offer valet but generally do not include it. This would def be something to put in your contract if they say they will throw it in!
