I am definitely booking at Jericho Terrace, but I'm having trouble deciding between Sat afternoon 12:30-6pm in the Dome Room and Sat night 7-12:30 pm in the Skylight Room. I love the way the Dome Room looks during the day but would prefer an evening wedding! The main thing, of course, is the price difference.
Is it the extra money worth it for the evening time slot?
And I would love to hear any feedback about an afternoon reception in the Dome Room. Did people drink/dance even though it was bright inside?
Thanks so much!

Re: Jericho Terrace advice please!
I'm having my wedding at Jericho Terrace on a Saturday night in June. If money is not going to be that much of an issue, I would personally go with the Saturday night.

IMO, I just went to a day wedding on a sunday and was in the wedding. Getting ready that early is just not worth it to me. My friend (the bride) was up at 5 in the morning getting ready. It is just a very long day to be up that early. Luckly she is just gorgeous no matter what, so she didn't need her beauty sleep lol.

Yes... I think it is up to you. How big of a factor does money play... Also, are you the type of person who can wake up and be up that early? Personally, I would never ever be able to wake up at 5-6AM, but that is all personality.

Re: Jericho Terrace advice please!
We picked our wedding to be on a Saturday afternoon...not because of money, but because thats what we wanted. We're extending the party afterwards...so its like we're having too parties- we even rented out a room at the hotel for our after party.
I'm actually having my reception in the Dome Room from 1-6 (with a 1-2 CH). I love the way it looks with the natural light coming in. People are going to dance and drink whether its dark or light out.
BTW- how did you end up getting an extra half hour added to your time?

Thanks for all your advice!
I'm leaning towards the evening too, but one of my friends said the afternoon time would be easier for out-of-town friends so they won't need to stay at a hotel overnight. But if we did do it in the afternoon, we would most likely have an afterparty so, most of those guests would probably end up staying late anyways. This is driving me crazy, and I just started wedding planning this weekend!
SummerBride10: I included my ceremony time (also at JT), so that's the extra half hour. We have 1 hr cocktails and 4 hrs for the reception. Sorry about the confusion! And I totally agree about the Dome room during the day - that's making my decision even more difficult!

Definitely during the day... If you do it at night in my opinion the dome room is like any other room in the place... if you do it during the day with the sunlight coming in and everything its nice...

I'm having in in the Dome Room at night. I think it's really what your preference is. We just really wanted a night wedding. Friday night was a lot cheaper but FH's family is from out of town so we though that a Sat. night would be easier for those people. Honestly, you can't go wrong with Jericho no matter what time or room you choose. Nancy - we're date twins! What room are you in?
