we are probably going to go by there tomorrow to change some things in our contract. what are some good add ons?
also we are going to get our cake from somewhere else, so shouldn't they throw something in for us? since we aren't going through them. what are somethings we should make sure is in our contract also? we have no idea what to ask. we really want a chocolate fountain though
I read somewhere they give upgrades if you use their house vendors. does anyone know about that? we are using 2 so far. or does anyone know what beer they give? we just don't want our wedding day coming and it's like oh we only serve Bud. or something like that.

Is this true, becasue I want to tell my sister who's getting married there in Sept. '08?
How do you inform the hall about this or will they just find out from the Vendors? How many vendors you have to use? And what kind of upgrades?
i answered it in another post but if you use 4 or more vendors you get an upgrade, some choices are sushi at your CH, martini bar and forgot the rest lol...They have a list with all this info, a girl on here said she got it from francesca at JT

As far as getting the chocolate fountain thrown in, my friend works there and after our contacts were signed I asked him about doing this instead of the sushi bar (b/c we are using 4 of their vendors) and they said they could not do this as the fountain is from a different vendor. I'm really not sure what this means but if you get the choc fountain thrown in, please let me know.
we have a paper with 5, then 2 options under it. fh said it's supposed to be the side dishes. I want to see what the 9 options are. maybe we don't even need them.

I am in the Skylight Room and although I don't know if they give different amounts of choices depending upon the room, I am assuming maybe this is why you have 5 options? I have heard from the brides of 2008 on this site that they are offered 9 options and I plan on asking my BM about that as well.

Not sure about the cake, we used their bakery. BUT, it doesn't hurt to ask. Dont' be surprised if they try and charge you a cake cutting fee. I know of other places that charge to cut a cake that isnt' theirs.
As for beer, ASK for whatever you want, trust me they will get it!! We requested a specific beer, that day when DH asked foe one the Maitre d went to get it...1/2 hr later she brings it back. Come to find out they FORGOT to get it, sent someone to 7-11 and got 2 cases of it!!!

Yeh same as what Espo said. I have the oak room (the small one) and I am also getting 9 entrees for my dinner also.
I however didnt know about the 4 upgrades. Thanks girls.

so we asked if we could take off 4 entrees and add in the international cordials and the chair sashes and they said it should not be a problem.

Hi, I was an 06 JT bride and I used all house vendors so they ate for free and I had an upgrade to our CH. After my wedding day came and went, I found out that they didn't serve Corona. I just assumed they would but they didn't so you might want to look into that. I don't know if you have to ask for it or it is extra since it is imported. Def. ask about that! I chose a cake from their book since I didn't want to spend the extra $ and it was sooooo yummy!!!! Raspberry and chocolate filling!!!
geez louise - JT gives 9 choices now?!?!?!!!!! i think they're just gonna get bigger & bigger with the whole wedding thing!!! I got married in december (but booked the year before) and I thought our 7 choice menu was big....and so did everyone else..... but 9?!?!!!! holy cow...i never thought i'd say this but i think thats to much to choose from! lol

well technically it's your choice about the cake - so they don't HAVE to throw anything in....hopefully since Robert (the general manager) is so great he will....but can i ask why your ordering from somewhere else??? their bakery is Dortoni's and they're AMAZING! they're reccomended by everyone and the cake is included! also, definetly get the martini bar if u haven't already - everyone LOVED it and the drinks were SOOOO good! and as for the beer - i can't remeber everything they had but i know there was a big selection...i'm pretty sure heiniken, amstel light & coors were in there along with bud, possibly corona???? ask when u meet with them - they'll definetly be able to tell u....i know we had to request budlight though. anything else ask away! and here's a photo of my cake through JT.... it was SO delicious!!!
I love love love that cake and Dortoni's..I was so pleased to hear that that was one of Villa Lombardis bakers...I was like Where do I sign???
LOL i know! they're amazing!!!!!! seriously - i LOOOOVED our cake (the way it looked AND HOW IT TASTED!!!!!)

Nope I didnt pay extra for the entrees - they even threw in chair covers and ribbons for me,

I was offered 9 (delicious) choices too.
The chair covers are thrown in. I was told that They're supposed to be getting new chairs.
you pay extra for a sash its a dollar or two a chair and in any color.
