Jericho Terrace brides - did you have candles at the ceremony?

Jericho Terrace brides - did you have candles at the ceremony?

I spoke with someone there today who informed me that I'm not allowed to have candles along the aisle (floor) due to fire hazard, however a different person there told me I could.

No loose candles, maybe something in either a lantern or a glass vase. Did anyone else do this? Is it really not allowed?? :(

I have no clue about this, since I am not a JT bride, but I do know if you have vases you can easily put a batter operated candle in it, they don't look the best by themselves, but once in a holder you can barely tell. Then no flame hazard but plenty of romantic lighting! Hope that helps.

Just had my wedding there a few weeks ago. Ceremony was in the Skylight room. My maitre'd strongly advised against using candles in the ceremony decor. He mentioned that there have been some incidents in the past, but did not specifically say they were not allowed. Looking back at how many of my guests leaned into the aisle for pictures during the procession, I see his point. IMO, leave candles for your centerpieces and table decor.

I asked this question when leaving our deposit & he said no. Only battery operated ones. I get it tho :(
