Well thats interesting.. I was told they could get anyone you needed. If you want one I would call your BM and ask why you were told this. Is your ceremony there?

Re: Jericho Terrace Officiant
we have had a multitude of complications with this RH. Robert S. the GM has gone to great strides to rectify all of the indifference and attitude we have faced in trying to plan our wedding and reception there. I loath Anna. This woman should not be allowed to help any couple planning their wedding in my opinion. She is over opinionated and doesn't allow any creative freedomn. This woman told me in my face that my idea was tacky. Our original BM Anthony P. flat out lied to us about table arrangments and room capacity and succeeded in keeping us out of the room we wanted, the skylight room. I had a meltdown and Robert stepped in and we told him we wanted skylight room but Anthony P. told us we didn't meet the minimum, but hey we actually did. There is no way in Hell we would've fit 150-175 ppl in the oak room, with round tables. Anthony told us the room could hold 180 ppl. Maybe with no dance fllor, and most definitely not round tables. Anthony P. told us that some people spend more money of flowers than we will have spent on our reception and I cried. I felt so insignificant.
so yeah, it is no surprise to me that you know there is an officiant JT uses but I had no clue. Nothing surprises me about that place any more, I am just trying to make the best of it.
sorry.............

To answer your question -
I think it depends on the type of officiant. We needed a rabbi and JT was able to give us recommended rabbi's to contact and were willing to call the rabbi's themselves for us, but they don't have their own rabbi. Perhaps this varies if you want some other type of officiant, but my impression was that they had a list of recommended people but not an in-house person that they charged for.
On a side note....DH and I did not get along with Anna either! JT took really good care of us through the entire process, but she was the one thing that put a damper on our experience with them.

we booked with Rob and we were very happy - we wanted the dome room and a VH and he made it happen....about a month ago we went back to ask Rob a question about overtime (we drove all the way from staten island) another BM INSISTED that he help us because Rob was meeting with another client - we wanted to wait for Rob - we had no problem waiting since we drove from staten island just to meet with him but like i said this other BM INSISTED....i didnt like him right away - reminded me of a sleazy car salesman - a typical BM......during our discussion i was politely hinting to FH that we should just forget it and come back and see Rob instead - that is when this other BM started writing all over our contract.....i was upset and pissed and so was FH - we know Rob would have given us a better deal......i was so annoyed, he just started writing without us agreeing to anything....from now on we will deal with Rob and only Rob.....

Speaking of BM's does anyone know if you can just call up and change which one you are dealing with? I was dealing with someone, but i am not thrilled with him. Since I have heard nothing but wonderful things about Rob I was thinking of meeting with him.

i have no idea how it works - but next time you have to go there request that you want to deal with Rob and only Rob. that is what i am going to do from now on. i know there are other girls who are very happy with their BM's but we dealt with Rob the first time and we left happy and excited....the other guy we met with - i dont want to deal with him ever again
