Help!! My fiance and I were looking at reception halls and we both like the Jericho Terrace and Crest Hollow Country Club but we're not sure which one is better in terms of food, desserts, atmosphere, and service quality (but mostly the food and viennese). If anyone is familiar with either or both of these establishments please shed some light. Thanks for the insight!!!!

just got back from erga (CTs bakery). not impressed. in my opinion dortoni's bakery blows them away. looks and taste. i can't see paying for a vienesse hour or section with sub adequate desserts. and is that an indicative of what dinner will taste like too? maybe i'm too picky but seems to me like it's a hell of a lot of money to invest in a once in a lifetime party to have guests say 'eh- food was alright'. so now i'm back to square one with hall picks and NEVER imagined it would be this difficult to pick a place. or that i would become a 'bridezilla' LOL
Looking at more than 2 halls is hardly 'bridezilla-ish'

you are no way being a bridezilla
just remember that no matter how great the food is - there are going to be people who still will complain and say it wasnt good. you cant please everyone! so dont stress over it too hard!

if you're done looking at RH's and ready to decide, i suggest you make a list of things you like and dislike about these two places. usually, one's going to stand out more. but i've heard good and bad things about both. i looked at crest hollow and thought the outdoor ceremony area was beautiful. but i thought the rooms were too big for our size wedding. so, we went with jericho.

I have been to both and I liked Jericho Terrace better. Just my opinion. Good luck.

I am a CHCC bride also so I may be al ittle partial. I have been to both and love both! One of the reasons we didn't do Jericho is because we have been to too many weddings there and wanted to do something different. The food is great there but we LOVED the food at the CHCC tasting. we also have an amazing catering manger and for us service had to be #1! Good luck!

I got married at Jericho Terrace in Sept 06. While I saw a couple guests outside as I was entering, I never saw another bride the whole night. I don't think it would've bothered me if I had seen one but I never did. They staggered the wedding times so not everyone started at the same time. Any more questions I'd be happy to answer. HTH!

DH and I got married at CHCC in May 2007 and overall, we were pleased. We had some nits, but overall I'd rate the experience as an A. We didn't have the Viennese hour, just one dessert and th wedding cake. The dessert and food were good, as was the service on the day of. Everything ran like clockwork. If there were things I'd like to see improved, I'd say it would be the communication process after booking and before the day of. PM me if you have additional questions. GL.

I'm a biased b/c I had my wedding at Jterrace but I have also attended wedding and corporate functions at CHCC,..Jterrace all the way for a couple of reasons...the decor is recently renovated, the food is superb!! Our guest can not stop ranting about the food. the service was great before, during n after....It does has it negatives but overall great experience..CHCC is a beautiful location as well. I just feel like at JT you get more for your money.
