I am continuing my reception hall search and I was wondering if those who have visited Jericho Terrace can tell me what their outdoor area is like. I can't tell from the website and having a beautiful outdoor area for pictures / the ceremony is really important to me. thanks !

Re: Jericho Terrace Question
They have a nice outdoor area...but its not very big at all. If the outdoor area is a top concern- JT might not be the best place for you.

ITA. Although they have some spots to take really nice pictures (like the gazebo and bridge), its limited. However, they do have a lot of nice areas indoors to take pictures too. So if it rains you'll still have some great shots. HTH

JT does not do outdoor ceremonies, however the skylight room is gorgeous for them.

Re: Jericho Terrace Question
Pictures are misleading. The outdoor area is non-existent. You can take photos out there but you can't have a ceremony or cocktail hour or anything out there. That's my biggest qualm with the place. But I loved everything else so much that it didn't matter anymore, plus I don't have to worry about the weather now.

Look at Westbury manor, the grounds are beautiful and they have an inside photo studio in case it rains

yes..Love jericho Terrace ..but their outdoor area really is misleading. Check out Chateau Briand for an AMAZING outdoor coctail hour area

JT's outdoor area right at their entrance in front of parking lot. It's very pretty but it's just a set-up for photo ops.
You should check out North Ritz Club in Syosset which has lovely grounds for photos and for ceremony.

Also, the Crest Hollow Country Club is GORGEOUS! You can try over there too!

Thanks girls! At this point, I'm thinking strongly about Westbury Manor. I just need to take FH there and get his approval.

If being outside is a top priority then JT might not be the place. They don't have an 'outside' area. Its basically just the little bridge thing when you pull in the parking lot.
I am getting married next month at WM and am soooo happy I picked them. Let me know if you have any questions. Good luck.

Re: Jericho Terrace Question
I may be biased since my wedding was at the Coral House but they have a beautiful view of the lake and weather permitting and depending on the size of your party you can have your cocktail hour on their Rooftop Terrace. My reception would have been out there but the weather was overcast and they were concerned it would rained so we ended up inside but my guests had a great time no matter what. HTH
