Jericho Terrace Review

Ok so yesterday I went to a wedding at Jericho Terrace in the dome room and here is the review as promised:

First i'll say when we first walked into the lobby well we paid 2 installments first and then we see our BM, once he saw us he asked us what are we drinking and told the waitress to get it for us while we talked to him for a bit and everyone else we know there was real great and we talked to them for a bit

COCKTAIL HOUR:

i tried to sample as much food as I can, wasn't the greatest idea hahaha. The food was very good so I was pleased and everyone kept telling us they liked the food. Here are the things I tried, and I'll also mention something I didn't like

Fried calamari-very good and loved the sauce for it

grilled octopus-also good but didn't eat too much of it

Paella-i tasted a little just to taste some and it was good, Fh ate alot of it and loved it

mini riceballs-LOVED these and ate many

baked clam-one of my favorites and its a big clam plus alot of stuffing which is a plus

fried zucchini and cauliflower-loved both and had alot of these too

turkey-very good

there was also a pasta station and i tasted some of FH's brothers penne ala vodka and it was pretty good, his gf had some other pasta but i didnt taste it, she said it was real good and even better than the penne ala vodka

the prosciutto and fresh mozzarella is delicious

Eggplant rollatini-here is the one thing i did not like. FBIL's gf didn't like it and neither did I but Fh did like it lol. He said he liked it bc it had this very smokey taste which is exactly why I didn't like it and just not what you expect from eggplant

the drinks were also strong so it's good that they weren't watering it down. The CH room is big and there were plenty of seats for everybody

then we went upstairs to the dome room:

the appetizers on the tables were nicely presented...it was in this tostada type thing lol sorry i cant think of the name now, that was used as a bowl, inside was fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, zucchini, red peppers, there was also a sauce on the plate for a nice little extra touch but more importantly it was very good.

We constantly had the waitstaff there coming over to ask us if we want anything. Infact, I did not get up once to get drinks. They were all very friendly and on top of everything, we never had to ask for something or look around for anybody, before we were even done with our drink they would ask us if we want another.

Pasta course was next, i actually liked it. I am not crazy about pasta with marinara sauce at most places but not bad...its not the hugest plate of pasta but then again it's not supposed to be. I was already kinda full from CH and appetizers

then they brought out Lemon sorbet inside of a lemon peel, it was cute and pretty good.

Fh, me, his bro, bro's gf went out to smoke a cig, and guess they served dinner when we did this, we also stayed long lol, but when we came back our food was kept covered and as soon as we walked over to our table they came right over to take the top off for us. I had the shrimp oreganata, fh had the duck, and fh's bro and gf had the ny strip steak. Food was served with potato croquette which was so good-DEELICIOUS, the broccoli was good too, it was seasoned with something, i dont know what but good lol. My shrimp was SOOOo good, seriously very delicious, good size shrimp, good portion and the breadcrumbs were very flavorful, fh tried one too and he was like WOW that is real good. Fh had the duck and it was a huge plate, two big pieces, i had a small bite and it was pretty good and fh liked it too. Fh's bro and his gf had the ny strip steak and it was a huge piece and looked real good, and they said it was good

Vienesse hour

it was delicious and so many things as with any vh hour lol. My favorites were the rice krispies we used to dip into the chocolate fountain. Also the zeppoles, cannoli's, tapioca, fh had two rice puddings, they also had a waffle bar and tons of other things but i couldn't eat that much of it lol but everything looked amazing

if you have any specific questions just ask me, i gotta run right now for a few so had to finish this up quickly and don't know if im forgetting something lol

Thanks for the review...never can hear too much about JT!!

ETA: question....as a fellow smoker, do you worry about how you're gonna fit a cig in on the big day? Maybe I'm thinking about it too hard...especially since I don't smoke around my parents (huge lectures when they see me....ugh)

Nice review, I have been to many functions there and its great. JT girls, you are in good hands. I love going to weddings. Its weird bec I never pay attention to details or the small things when I am at a wedding, Im either eating, outside, mingling, etc etc, but the next wedding I go to I just may pay attention

Same here, i am usually partying or something but this time i made sure to pay attention to how things were done. I also realized i am gonna want the lights off and do lighting for when we get announced bc it makes more of an entrance...it was still daytime when they were introduced so you realize the difference. Plus def doing the father/daughter dance and mother/son dance after first dance to get it out of the way

they also didn't do a bok toss or garter toss...instead they had all the married couples up dancing and gave the bok to the couple that was married the longest...for they say only couples married more than 5 years can remain on the dance floor, then 10, 20 and so on until one is left, it was a nice touch

That is the part that i'm most excited about...food! I love that there is going to be so much for our guests to try.

Truth be told the only reason FH and I are considering a cruise for the HM is the 24 hour food options! We're greedy....

Yeah and its nice that you got to go to a wedding at your venue so you kinda have to pay attention to the things that go right and the things that go wrong so you can prevent that from happening at your wedding. I would love to go to a wedd at the WM, my next wedd is at the Sand Castle. JT and SC are the only 2 places my fam and friends get married and have parties
