I was talking with a co-worker about weddings and my other co-worker who was not part of the conversation said 'I think it's ridiculous when people over 25 make a big deal about their wedding.' Hello? Jerk. No one was talking to you and I wasn't even talking about my wedding. She is so ignorant.

thats horrible to say to someone! the average age of women getting married in the united states is 27 now a days! it was just on tv the other day. people can be so ignorant it kills me.

OMG...........don't worry about her. In fact you should feel sorry for her because she must have had something really bad happen to her for her to have such a negative attitude. I would not let her get me down, just be the better person and let it go. It's not worth having problems at work with her.She is most likely jealous that you are happy and that her life isn't what she had always imagined it would be.

Yeah, it's just stupid to make a big deal out of they day you are going to pledge yourself and your love to one person forever, I can't imagine making a big deal out of that.

Take the high road and ignore her. Look, she may or may not be jealous, but it's silly to assume automatically she is. She has a different opinion but expressed in a rude way; she definitely should have kept her mouth shut. There's no way to respond that will make you look good except for silence.

ugh! You should inform her that alot of the ladies in LIW are over 25 and we love planning our weddings! And talking about them!
