Jewelers Mutual

Jewelers Mutual

After being engaged for 8 months now, my ring is still not insured! I am working on that today, we got it appraised a while ago but just haven't gotten the insurance on it.

Do any of you have yours through Jewlers Mutual? Just looking to see if anyone had any feedback on them.

Re: Jewelers Mutual

no. but you can put it under your renters or homeowners and it cost us less so we did it that way.

I have Jewelers Mutual. I cant say too much about them because I havent had a situation where I need to use them. Overall, I got a great annual price, and my jeweler reccomended them. Good luck!

You can FM me if you have any questions!

i'm doing it through geico. i have my car insurance and renters' insurance with them. they told me to do a separate policy from my renters' insurance though b/c if your engagement ring is under your renters' insurance, they give you replacement value as opposed to the actual value if you had it under a separate policy.

I am in the same boat and actually FH told me I should do it today also. Where I got my ring appraised recommended them. They said their prices were great and in addition, they said unlike other insurances, there is no deductible.

I use them. I think you can either get a replacement or just the $$. It's not too expensive. I wanted separate because I didn't ever want to make a mistake and not be covered during moving (as happened to FH's stepmom when she lost her ring). We will prob move once more before moving into a house (hopefully). You should get it appraised every few years since the $$ to replace will go up with inflation and stuff.

We just bought my band and that is getting appraised today actually and then we will be getting the rings insured too. I am leaning towards Jewelers Mutual....they seem to have a great reputation and I like the idea of not having a deductible. I do have a call in to see how it would work to add to our renters insurance instead but I havent heard anything back from State Farm yet.

Thanks girls! I actually don't have renters insurance, so maybe I'll look into getting that under Allstate (where I have my auto ins) and just add the ring under that. Gotta check out all the prices..
