Jewelery on honeymoon?

when you girls go on your honeymoon are you bringing your e-ring and wedding band away..or leaving it home and getting a fake set..The rings will have such sentimental value that i want to take them, but at the same time i'm petrified of losing them..just wanted to see what everyone else is doing

I have never even thought about this! I'll have to give it some thought b/c I'm with you all on the senimental value (regardless if it's insured).

yep thats whats making this so hard..cause i want to wear them ya know..for one its the real set and my wedding band will be blessed by the priest

I haven't decided yet, but leaning towards a fake set. I'm keeping my eye out for something nice though, not expensive nice, but along the same lines as my ring which has a lot of detail.

im definately wearing mine on the HM. but if we do something like snorkeling i will leave them in the safe in the room. ive done that a few times w/my e-reing and never had any trouble.

i know i'm planning on gettin a fake set. i LOVE my ering and will LOVE my wedding band, and i could never imagine ever losing them. yes, i'd keep them in a safe during the HM, but it's not really fool proof. i prefer to play safe than sorry. my rings mean too much to me. not the $$ value, but what the rings themselves me. my FH placed these rings on my finger for forvever, and i intend to keep them there forever!

I agree with all of you but I just recently went on vacation and there was a safety box in the hotel room. Everytime we went to the pool or outside I left it but when we went out I wore it. But if you feel like you dont want to take it then buy a fake set

a safe is good...but it still makes me nervous..when i got engaged (it was on a cruise) i didn't want to leave my ring in the safe the whole time..cause i was so afraid..im weird like that

yeah PLEASE be careful with the safe boxes, i know some ppl who had stuff stolen out of there...4 of them were staying in one room and they all put their things in there before going to the beach, they had a couple thousand dollars stolen, their watches, jewelry and a few other things. Alot of times its an inside job, which it probably was since it didnt look like the room was broken into.

Yeah when i got engaged it was on a cruise too so i had no choice but to have it with me and it worked out

I’m wearing it, for better or worse. I’ve actually been wearing one of my two erings (long story, the old one is now going to be the wedding band) for YEARS now and I actually almost lost it in Denmark.

We were out on our wood patio. FH and I had gotten totally trashed and the ring fell off my hand and rolled down and fell through the wood. FH tends to get more serious the more he drinks, lol, so he rigged up some kind of tool and fished it out. It was kinda a miracle. I try to think that that was my one losing the ring experience, and I’m safe now

steve would like me to leave it at home.........i am horribler with jewlery and i have ahd my ring sized 2 times and when my hands get wet iut still almost slipps off....so i think i am gonna leave it at home and not take the chance

i've heard horror stories about bringing the rings on the HM

i'm just going to get a fake band not a fake e-ring though

i am upset bc i love my band and i wanted to wear it but i dont think it's worth it -- i dont know what i would do if i lost it or it got stolen!
