Jewelery question..kinda

Does anyone know if you can take something that is gold filled...and plate it silver or white gold?

I have pin that was my mom's that is 'gold filled' (it is stamped 14k gf) that has her monogram on it. I would like to put it on my boquet...problem is i is gold, and it clashes.

Can I get it plated silver or white gold?

You can absolutely get it dipped in rhodium....this is how white gold items ARE white gold, lol. There's no real thing as white gold, it's yellow gold dipped in rhodium.

yes, I know, just like I am having my 'white gold' wedding ring dipped,....but since this pin isnt 14kt, it is 14kgf...do you think that would be a problem?
