Jewish (and Interfaith) Brides - Invitation Question

Jewish (and Interfaith) Brides - Invitation Question

Are you using any Hebrew on your invitations? If so what and how much? I know some people put the date, hebrew names, a quote, the whole nine yards. What are you doing?

We don't even know what the hebrew date of our wedding is, and using hebrew names would be sort of inapporproate since obviosuly I don't have one, and we weren't going to put any Hebrew at all, but since we may have our ceremony at my church, I want to maybe put some hebrew on the invitation so that it will be clear to guests that it's an interfaith wedding when they see that the ceremony is going to be held at a church. I don't want to put off the jewish side of the family, so I'm hoping that putting some hebrew on the invitation will convey that we will be incorporating both faiths.

What are you all doing?

ETA: One more question....where can I get a really nice tallit? (considering it as a wedding gift for FH)

I put a standard invite, no Hebrew lettering.

It's an interfaith wedding at our hall, and trying to include Hebrew lettering for programs, invites, etc. was just going to get a little too complicated for us. (That, and FH does not read Hebrew)

I don't think there is going to be any Hebrew on our invitation..we're both Jewish and it will be pretty obvious when the ceremony starts.

We're both jewish and we're not having any hebrew on our invitations.

As far as a tallit - I'm pretty sure Zion Lion has some - they're located in Huntington and New Hyde Park.

We used 'I am my beloved and my beloved is mine' in Hebrew and put our Hebrew names on ours.

I'm sure very few people will be able to read and understand it, but we thought it was a nice personal touch.

no Hebrew on ours. our ceremony was 'Jewish style'. but we didn't even chose that until after the invites had already gone out.

you can find nice talits at any Judaica store

we're not putting any hebrew on our invite. As far as a tallis, there's a nice jewish store in merrick. its right near the trainstation, between merrick road and sunrise hwy. i can't remeber the name of it though.

There might also be some good choices in the 5 towns.
