I heard from a few people that it is not customary at jewish weddings to give out favors, and the few that I have been to myself , I cannot remember if there were favors , or they were interfaith marrige .
Have or are my fellow Jewish brides giving out favors?
TIA

I really don't care if it's not regularly done at Jewish weddings... I am doing favors which are going to be a nice ($5) bottle of wine - and yes you can get a good bottle of wine for $5! I am placing them in white and lavender organza wine bags with favor tags. We're doing one bottle per couple and yes I think it's only right to thank your guests for coming.

I am so not up to that yet, but I plan on doing some sort of favor, don't know what yet. I've been to Jewish weddings with favors.

We had an interfaith wedding (i'm jewish Dh is catholic) .. our favors were the flower centerpieces got broken up so each female took home a large bo-k.
We also put personalized mints on the tables.

I'm hoping to do this too! I saw this before and thought it was a really nice touch.
I'm also afraid that whatever favors I pick out will be shoved in a drawer or thrown out!

Re: jewish brides - favors?
i did i gave a gift bag with costers, small bottle of wine, wine stopper and 2 big snowflake chocolates
We're not an interfaith couple (both of us are Jewish), and we did have favors. I think it's purely a matter of preference - some of the other Jewish weddings we've been to have given favors out, some have not.
Our favors were 4 chocolate truffles and 1 chocolate heart. Who doesn't like chocolate?

We were thinking about doing champagne or wine glasses but decided to do the wine bottles instead.

Both of my sisters had weddings at temples and neither one of them did favors. My fh isn't jewish and we're not getting married at a temple. We are doing favors. I guess you could go either way. It's your choice.
