Jewish Brides - Reception Question

What is the basic timeline of the reception? Is it:

Entrance, first dance, hora, challah & wine blessings, 1st course...

...or does the hora come before the first dance? I've been to a ton of Jewish weddings, but now that I am trying to plan mine, I can't remember how it goes!!

I would agree - hora after first dance. Your band leader or DJ would know. I think you get introduced, go right into the first dance, then they hoist you up and you hold on for dear life! I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS PART!!!!

What can't you wait for the Hora or the 'holding on for dear life' part of it?

I'm a little nervous about that part...

Do you know about the blessing over the challah and wine? Is that right before the 1st course?

Actually I think the hora can be done at any time. I've even heard of people doing it at the end of their ceremony!

I would do it before you've eaten a lot thought.

Also the blessing over the bread should be done before the meal is served not after the salads or other first class.
