Jewish Brides: Where in your home did/will you put your ketubah?

FH and I just moved in together and we are trying to reserve wall space for our ketubah. We were trying to figure out whether we should put it in our bedroom, the dining room or in an open foyer where you can see it as soon as you walk in the apartment. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

We are going to frame it and hang it over our bed in our bedroom.

Thanks ladies. I wasn't sure if there were any traditions or 'unwritten rules' in regard to that. FH and I plan on having Shabbat dinners on Friday night and I think it would be nice to have our ketubah in the dining room when we light candles. At the same time, there is something about a couple's bedroom that sals the sanctity of marriage in which case we may put it there. OR I could just wait and see how big it is going to be after we have it matted and framed under glass (with acid free ink - I was told to do this so the signatures won't fade over time).

I am going to hang ours in the dining room - I want everyone to see it when they are in the apartment :)

I really haven't thought too much about this, but most likely in our dining room

My sister framed hers and has it hanging in the upstairs foyer. it looks very nice there.

Although my husband is Jewish we opted not to have one. But the majority of my friends are and the ones who have one have it hanging in a nice frame in their dining areas, presumably for reasons of Shabbat dinners, et al.

Ours is framed and in the living room on its own wall, I am going to add some pics from our wedding near it. HTH

When I get ours we are going to hang it over the fireplace. if we didn't have a fireplace i would put it in the hallway so when visitors come over it can be seen. i think if you put it in the bedroom no one will see it.
