A few people I've spoken to said its not 'customary' for a jewish wedding to give out favors. Are any jewish brides/grooms giving out favors?

Re: Jewish Wedding and Favors
We are doing a donation favor to 2 charities in lieu of a physical gift. But, I am making up scrolls and tying them to an organza bag filled with Lindt Truffes because I wanted to give something to each guest as well.

we want to give out a 'soundtrack cd' as our favor. My mom said you're not supposed to give out favors at Jewish weddings, but we still want to

I know it's not customary but I just think it is nice to do it. I don't any of the guests will question it.

We're not doing it either. The few Jewish weddings I've been to that have had favors had CD's made by the bride and groom and one had a HUGE candy buffet w/chinese food containers to fill! The others didn't have favors.
