Jewlery advice needed

Jewlery advice needed

Ok, this is my dress picture. The color will be Gold (looks champagne-ish) and the beading stands out b/c of the color. I don't think that I want to do crystal or pearls so I was thinking about a simple opal pendant (oval with a little diamond at the top) with little pear shaped drop earrings that match- I picked them up at Macy's on a great sale (50% off!) but am not sure that that it'll look good. The beading is concentrated at the top so I wanted my jewlery to be simple...

any opinions/ideas? TIA!

Here's the dress- again, mine won't be white.

This is similar to the necklace but a single diamond and it has more fire that this Opal...

I need more info...How are you planning on wearing your hair? With veil? Tiara?

My hair will be half-up and while I haven't picked out the veil yet it'll be about waist length and simple-maybe just a beaded edge. I'm taking it off after the ceremony tho. I have little hair pins- this is the pic I took when I ordered them- my hair will be similar.

These are the earrings I think I'm going to try to get...

I think the jewelry will look nice and simple, like you want.
Other things to consider though: Is the detailing on the dress gold or silver? Can you (do you want to) find jewelry in something that will coordinate with the crystal in the hair pins? What color trim will be on the veil if you go with the beaded edge?

The beading is clear and pearl-like but for some reason I don't want to do pearls. I guess the only issue I see with the opals is too much of the gold tone- but I love opals and will have to return them if I wear something else-I won't reuse pearls as often. I'd basically have the same type of jewlery except make them pearls if I change my mind tho...

The pins are all crystals with some pearls too...some white, some off white. Tho not many- only a few

I guess pearls would be the better way to go but for now I'm keeping the opals-I'll exchange them later if they look horrible at the fitting (gotta love Macys-they'll take it back!)

Thanks for the input!

I think you're fine with the opals (I'm partial since it's my birthstone)... they have the white effect of pearls, but a slightly different glow. I think it will be nice and offer a good amount of contrast.

That's what I'm hoping for-plus, I like that it's a little different...now to actually exchange my earings for the ones I posted on here!
