Jewlery Appraisal/Appraiser

Where did you get the ring? Didn't they give you the certifications and an appraisal. Of course you should go somewhere else later and see what it's worth. The guy I got mine gave me an appraisal, the certifications, and was a pleasure to deal with. He only deals on recommendations. Unfortunately for you he's on Bowery in the city. If I find one I'll let you know.

I recommend Deborah VERY highly as well. We used her when she was affiliated with Jewelry Judge in Garden City to appraise and get insurance documents for my antique engagement ring (family heirloom). She provides a very detailed appraisal and the insurance company never needed to request additional documents from us. She's also testified as an expert in a number of trials, which FH and I (both attorneys) were very impressed with.

I had an appt with Deborah Villepigue (The Jewelry Appraiser) in Manhasset last night. Her appraisal process was very detailed (the report on my e-ring alone will be 8 pages long!).

Deborah is very straightforward and easy to work with. Everything was done in one office and my jewelry was never out of sight. She even cleaned everything for me! Without a doubt Deborah knows her gems...and I felt comfortable knowing about her experience and knowledge of courts and all the NY rules/regulations for the insurance companies. It was really amazing to learn about how my e-ring was made and the special care that went into the process.

Whew! It feels great to get this done..I've had the ring since January...thanks ladies! This has been a banner week for US...we booked the photographers, our officiant, got the appraisal done..now onto the flowers! yay!
