I found the bm dress I want, I have to have. However, being that Im not getting married until next year(meaning 06-were close enough)Im afraid it'll be discontinued. Does anyone know how often they change?

Re: Jim Hlem
someone had a post about this the other day. I think there was a suggestion to call the manufacturer to see if they know when the dress will be discontinued.

I think they change every 9 -12 mos. If you really really love it then order it now. I fell in love with a bridesmaid dress... that was discontinued 3 days before I had found it!!!

Re: Jim Hlem
I would order it now but being that my BP has two of my daughters in it and the dress right now is $300 I can't and also they will be 14 and 16 for the wedding which means god knows how their sizes will change.

Re: Jim Hlem
Jim Helm just left Jim Helm and is designing dresses under a new name - James Something. Go to Bridal Reflections in Massapequa, they just had a trunk show with all his new stuff. I'm not sure if his old designs will be discontinued.

Re: Jim Hlem
dont worry about jim heljm leaving the company he did not design anyway. if you look at catalogs and stuff from them they say designed by natasha (forget the last name) and now they have a new one. so i wouldnt worry about stuff getting discontinued because of that. however dresses in general get discontinued twice a year. if the dress has been a good style for the company it obviously will not be discontinued. otherwise it usually is. once in the fall and once again in the spring they are discontinued. however if you put a small deposit on one of the bm gowns until you are ready to purchase and fully put in the order the bridal shop will call you and tell you if they get notification that this style will get discontinued. sorry soooo much information. good luck!
