I am currently looking for a job in the city (i dont have a car). I have been unemployed for 3 months now and I am going crazzzzzy. I have a lot of administrative experience and a BA in Communications. Mainly looking for 9-5, 35-45K salary and health benefits. If anyone knows of anything that could possibly help me I would love to pass my resume along..
Thanks!!! Michelle

Publishing doesn't really pay unless you are the publisher.
Mich, you didn't say you were looking for publishing, did you?

Re: Job Help?
have you tried temping? I've had friends who got full time permanent jobs after temping.
If I were you, I'd decide what field you want and why you want it. That makes it easier to write a resume because you can say I want to work here because of x, y, and z, instead of just saying I'll do anything and know word and excel, etc. Assess your long-term career goals, then see how you can make yourself more marketable for that. We've even had people volunteering in my office just because they want the experience. Good luck!

What I did right out fo college, was have several differnt resumes, for different types of jobs. I didn't really know what I wanted, but I was good at pretending I did!
Have you looked into fundraising for a non- profit? I am not sure how much it pays, but that was my other option when I came out of college.
post your resume on hotjobs, monster career building. on monster, u could keep renewing by bringing your resume to the top of the list every few days. thats how dh got his current job

Re: Job Help?
Do you by any chance have experience as an Executive Assistant? We have an opening for someone with that experience that has worked in a communications company.
