my really good friend is having sort of a panic attack about finding a job so i figured i ask you lovely ladies for her. she's still in school and goes to hunter college and is looking for a part time job during the day or full time at night. does anyone know of any positions in nyc that are hiring and would hire college students? she'd like to do receptionist type work. thanks in advance. any help would be highly appreciated.

I dont know of any personally but has she tried looking on craigslist or indeed.com?? she may find them to be helpful

at the law firm where i work (which is in nyc & very close to hunter) i know they have students who come in, in the afternoon to do photo copies & such. however since she is in college she should try to find something in her field of study so she can get some experience. like the other reply said try craigslist.

I work for PURE Yoga, we are hiring Front desk and Member services employees. Evening hours are available, it's perfect for a college student. 203 E 86th street, one stop on the 6 train from Hunter.

She should try a temp agency, or any job website, monster, craigslist, etc. They're ALWAYS looking for students for receptionist type work.

um..EVERYWHERE lol. u can literally walk into any restaurant or office building and inquire about positions...the city is FILLED with students/actors/etc...so most places are flexible with ur scheduel & pay pretty well. I actually think the medical office that my hubby does some work for is hiring...i'll find out for ya & let ya know..they pay pretty well & actually offer full benefits NYC is the one place u dont have to worry about finding a job...she can just go to a local temp agency too. Def. tell her to look on craigslist...with the holidays just around the corner i'm sure they'll be TONS of places hiring since the city gets crazy business!
